Introduction
The Ainsley, along
with most of Scarborough's guest accommodation, was built over 150 years
ago. As such, providing disabled access is difficult - although we will
try to help as much as humanly possible.
Arrival & Car
Parking Facilities
• Car parking
is on the street and as such we are unable to guarantee spaces 'outside
the door'.
Main Entrance &
Reception
• The entrance to the property is via a short, level, path; there
is one small step into a small porch area.
Public Areas -
General (Internal)
• Unfortunately, we do not have a lift. There is a lounge which is
available to guests on the ground floor.
Public Areas -
WC
• There is a first floor WC, 17 steps up from the ground floor.
Dining Room
• The dining room is 13 steps down from the ground floor.
Bedrooms
• First floor rooms are 17 steps up from ground floor level. Second
floor rooms are a further 18 steps, and third floor rooms are a further
15.
Bathroom, Shower-room
& WC [Ensuite or Shared]
• Six of our bedrooms have ensuite shower facilities. Two bedrooms
on the second floor share a shower room which is situated on the same
level.
