The Ainsley is located towards the southern end of the North Bay well within walking distance of many of Scarborough's amenities.

Only a few minutes away is the historic castle passing St Mary's Church and Anne Bronte's Grave on the way, a few minutes more will lead you down to Sandside, the gateway to the South Bay with its many amusement arcades, cafes and bars, and of course the well renowned Harbour Bar. Heading north from The Ainsley you will reach Scarborough Bowls Centre. A few more minutes further down the road is Peasholm Park, home to Scarborough's unique miniature sea battle during the summer. Slightly further afield at Scalby Mills is Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary approximately a 20 minute walk away or why not take a ride on the miniature railway from Northstead Manor Gardens.

For arts and entertainment lovers, both the Stephen Joseph and Futurist Theatres are nearby as well as the Spa Complex, Rotunda Museum and Hollywood Plaza Cinema.

A ten minute walk will take you into the town centre with its variety of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and clubs.
